Here there is the hull nearly completed.
The propeller are still missed, because I had to fix them 10 times when I was building the Graf Spee, so I will left them to the end. I have to put a band to simulate the armoured plates on the hull, and I was thinking to put even the stripes where there were the "portholes". But at the moment I'm projecting the uppers structures of the main deck and the turrets, so I will need time. Whorst than that, I am thinnking to leave the front hangar open with the seaplane inside... At the moment I have too much meat on fire. |

Nice hull. I'm with Lex, lots of style in the Italian ships. Be nice to see more of their WWI ships.

Eppur si muove
After losing days with Gimp, I'm starting building again. Yet, I made many stupid mistakes that I could have easily avoided. Unfortunately, I had to print the pages first to discovered them... (probably I printed each pieces at least four times... keep going like that and I will finish the ink of my new printer very soon).
Some of the pieces are only prototypes to check the allignment of the camouflage scheme, the rear deck is, instead, the final one. |

These are the turrets A & D completed. You can read the Ship's Motto on the turret D, "Folgore di Guerra" (Lightning of war). The two 152mm guns were, for economic reasons, on a single mount, so they moved together... Another reason why the Italian ships were unable to hit the enemy. I also finished the front hangar, but I made a stupid mistake and I will post the pictures when I fix it.

After one week spent on that stupid seaplane....
Disaster! It was too big. My fault... I just resized the WAK Ro. 43 to the dimension of the original Halinski, and repainted with the '42 camouflage (the red stripes on the wings were used only in the first part of the war, then the horrible casualties of the Ro. 43 forced to adopt very quickly a camouflage scheme). It's simply too big... even with the folded wings it can pass through the doors of the hangar... So much job wasted! |

Meanwhile,
I finished the other two torrets and some of the sovrastructures... still lots of job checking the allignment of the camouflage scheme. |
