Hi everyone,
glad to see that the little boat got some fans thanks. @ Zathros isnīt that typical for a modeler Depending on the model one is spending often more time on researching than on the actual build. And the collection of links is growing and growing, the stored images on HDD pile up ... @ B-Manic Thanks for the video links. The one, where TURBINIA is moving, i knew already, but the other one was new to me. Actually, Parson did not only "invent" the steam turbine for the use as propulsion. In the course of his tests with TURBINIA he contributed a lot to the understanding of the cavitation phenomenon as well. The image with the 2-View i have also in my stock. According to that, the boat had wooden decks and wooden roof tops on the deck houses. It would be interesting, if this is just an artistic impression or was it real. Since there are other, similiar 2-Views, which do not show the wood, but painted iron/steel surface. @ dto Yes, you are right. For a full hull, with sufficient detail, a larger scale would be fine. But this is still veeeeery far beyond my capabilities. Rgds Peter |

Hi, Peter:
Is there any plan on making this fine model available for others to build, perhaps on eCardmodels or some other outlet? I am very happy with the waterline version, although I can imagine quite a few would like to also portray the interesting propeller shafts which is also part of the story of this landmark vessel. What a wonderfully unassuming little boat and a delightful looking model! Cheers! Jim |

Hi Jim,
as for now, i do not plan anything in that direction. For the time being, TURBINIA will remain unique There are still several flaws in my drawings, which i had to solve on the spot during the build. Thus it is still half a scratchbuild But, as Mr. Bond said, "never say never" ... Rgds Peter |
