The "Requin", Epinal

Last build this week, the "Requin" an old french torpedo boat, Ed Pellerin around 1900.

Curious boat, but nice and easy to build.
You can found it at Agence Eureka

Very nice to get a look at. This is one of the most fascinating looking crafts I have seen.

You're model would go well with Michael Mash's build and all or most of what Goldenbear does, as far as historical reference. It has to be the epitome of French design of that era. That a ship with that much free-board could ever survive is a testament to the in accuracy of the weaponry of that era. I love models that have me look up their history and relevance

A Lovely model and considering what you had to work with, and standing on it's own regardless of the source, excellent!

Thanks for your comments.

I hope I will found others Epinal's ship, like the "éclair", le "bateau-canon", the submarine, le "Renard" ou la "Sirène"...

Hi Pat:
I don't know the historical background of this ship, but definetly Epinal was ahead of its time and designed a steampunk vessel.
I had it downloaded from eureka, but it becomes more interesting to see a built model.
Well done
Rgds
