LCM(3) landing craft - GPM 1:25

My next build will be one of the WW2 landing craft, the LCM(3) (Landing Craft Mechanised), from GPM in scale 1:25. This is one of the landing craft that was used to bring personnel, vehicles and tanks to shore, and as I also have GPM's 1:25 Sherman tank still lying around, this could turn into a slightly bigger build.

A large part of the model consists of frames and formers:

Dear Marco:
I have to watch this build some of the boats were made just up the river from me in North Tonawanda New York. Some where in the house I have a history book about the plant. Now can I talk my wife into the money to buy the kit?
Thanks,
MILES

Dear Marco:
Found the book. False arlum. The Bison Shipyard made Mark 5 & 6 of the Landing Craft Tanks. 120 foot long at 1/24th that would be quite a model right up your alley.

The first external parts are large sections of the hull. Not the most exciting part yet, but there will be more detail to it soon.
