After redoing the frames, I've begun on checking sides and decks for fit. The decks fit fine but the flattened version of the hull side shrunk up. It has the correct length but is too short. Here are some pictures:

I'm excited to see this project! The Hoche turned out so nice and this is bound to be better with all of that experiance.
Those sides look like when I tried to put the sides on my Smerch from papershipwright!
By the way, what kind of glue is that in the picture?

Ah, that is the mythical Duco cement that I find to be unequalled for cardmodeling... and nobody else in the world can stand! It works best when both joining surfaces are give a light, quick pre-coat. It doesn't shrink anything like any of the white glues I've tried.

And where would I find such a mythical beast? I tend to like things that most people can't stand...

I sometimes see them at hobby stores, but Walmart has been my reliable and cheapest supplier. I usually buy all they have on the rack (maybe 4-6) when I do. I can go throught a tube easily on a single model.

Rick, I didn't know that you were part of my band of heretics! (?)

It doesn't "work" like white glue but I like its properties over all. Oh, if necessary, you can loosen it later with acetone/fingernail polish remover. Once it sets it is like a rock otherwise.
