HMV 1/250 MS Konigin Luise

Back in the saddle again!

Although nine months ago not only bicycle saddle but card saddle hurt me badly, longstanding bicycle therapy with the help of protein supplement finally seems to work well for me. It alleviates my ailment lately but I needed for a while until made up my mind to recommence model builds. Finally I gathered courage and plunged into paper modeling again.

Although I have several on hold projects what I take up for rehabilitation is a passenger ship from HMV. The reason why I take up this kit is not that I am interested in this ship but it has only a little more than 100 parts and its beauty.
In addition to small number of parts what it attracts me is beautifully designed glazing so that I don’t need to cut it out and replace it with transparency.
I am not in the mood for modifying and adding small parts which might have me give up paper model build again.

While cutting out formers with rusty fingers I got tense in cutting the parts along black line though I would do it tens of thousands of times.

Taking two nights finished formers.

Hello Yu,
I hope the exercise and protein supplements keep you feeling well.
Your sklls have not suffered. The frame looks perfect!

Welcome back Yu. It is a pleasure to watch you build but please take your time so as not to aggravate your condition.

A beautiful ship! Good choice for getting back into the game, Master Yu.

Needless to say, your hull frame looks perfectly straight and true.

I look forward to seeing this ship take shape.

Mike, Joe Thanks
Douglas, thanks for your advice but look at the first picture, riding a bicycle 100km almost every weekend for several months strengthened my muscle so that I don’t need to worry about my condition any more.
Don, thank you for drop in. I am going to give this beautiful ship to my wife on her birthday.

Today, built fore and aft deck, some walls on it and half of bollard just following the kit instruction except I cut off all gluing tabs.

Cool Yu and glad to see you feeling like modeling with rehab and exercise, I would like to get as good a shape as you're in! It does look like a pretty ship and will be fun to watch you make it
