Excellent work! Almost done means you must be thinking about your next project.

Good luck,

I got several things waiting in the wings, yes. The Grande Dame (SS Rotterdam [1/250, blue hull], Scaldis De Ruyter [4 colour camo, 1/250] a few more JSC kits and whatever i have left in my printed stash...)

I might need some tips on rigging the Shimakaze though, it looks a bit daunting and complicated...

And she is completed! The rigging was a b*tch to do, but I managed to do it somewhat like the schematic, which was confusing, to say the least. I used 100% cotton thread, tan coloured. Some of the wires were reinforced with wood glue (the bottle you can see). The small cup contains thinned down glue, which was uses to fix things, in both meanings of the word. I do know that my desk is a mess... but when I am busy, I don't notice it.

The rigging isn't an exact match, but close enough. Much credit for doing the rigging goes to www.warartisan.com for their excellent rigging tutorial!

And here is she, in better (HA!) lighting on the flip table:

There were 2 flags supplied, but only one position was shown (the stern one). But i used the other one on the bow, makes it a whole lot nicer. I painted the 127mm barrels with enamel black (or dark grey) and the 25mm AA's with medium grey.

All that I now want for it is a case to transport and show her in.

Really good with the rigging Legion. A small note. the next time you use the thinner wire because the cotton thread that you used is a bit 'off the scale.

It was the thinnest the store had! Or rather, that was the only size they had... Polyester string (the small spool) is even thicker and fishing wire was not bendable enough.

The only thing i don't really like are the three torpedo turrets. They were hard to make and the instructions/drawings weren't very helpfull.
