Are you referring to the jig I made for making the rails? That is just something I put together using pieces of cardboard stock I had lying around. If you are referring to the model itself, that is a commercial model I bought a while back from an online supplier. I scanned the kit (it is originally in 1/300 scale) and then printed it out at a reduced size, 1/600, to match the scale of the rest of my fleet.

I hope I answered your question but, if not, just let me know.

Cheers!

Hello and hello Jim,
Super job on the rails.

Where did you buy the model? Did in come as a pattern on paper or as balsa wood? Yes I want to buy one as it would save me hours of time.

If you can name the supplier then I would appreciate it. If not, how would I find a pattern? I have googled everything under the sun with little luck.

Sorry to distract from your thread.

Publisher is Kartonowa Flota, a Polish company but does anybody have any idea where to buy from? Jim, do you know?
Your model is great and at this scale it would be perfect for the shadowbox idea I got, remeber.

Thanks again, guys!

It was a while back that I purchased this one, and I fear that company is no longer around, but here are a few links for publishers online...perhaps one of these might still have it in stock?

Untitled Document

GPM - ATLANTIC JAMAICAN - 1/300

roko-kartonmodellbau

?Atlantic Jamaican? - kontenerowiec, Wielka Brytania [KWKF002] - 7.20z? : Orlik Model Kartonowy, Sklep internetowy

I have ordered from both Marcle Models and GPM and they both provide quick and superb service, the other two I haven't used before so I can't say.

Good luck!

Cheers!
Jim

This is a sweet model Jim and one of the nicest thing about this thread was reading all of Barry's comments in it! It's really touching.

Thanks so much, Zathros...and you are absolutely right about Barry's posts...he honored me with some very kind comments in each of my build threads, delivered in his unique and lovely style; oh, how I do miss him....
