A little cargoship / Scalescenes downscaled 1:250

Hello gentlemen,

just finished - a little cargo ship/coaster. It was a download from Scalescenes. I scaled it down to 1:250 and optimized it a little bit. The complete report you can find on my blog; but here the completed lady in a sphere I always like ... remembering the good old times as ships were made of wood and the guys are from iron - or not?
I wish you all a happy weekend and - keep on glueing ...

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

Oh, got to remember that site, lots of neat little detail models there. And the cargo ships looks very good.

Very pretty little vessel, and it looks like alot of effort on the railings and bulwarks...and sits nicely in the harbor. The railings are etched?

Reminds me, like you say, of the days when one could actually walk in the harbour. This could be Gothenburg up to the 1960s, when the harbour was still in the city, and you were allowed to walk right along the quay-side, getting in the way of the tough guys loading and unloading ships like this by way of cranes like yours.

I love the scenery you've made for yourself. Particularly the bit where the doors are half-open could almost be real - if you squint hard enough...

Leif

Hello gentlemen,

I have to thank you for your nice compliments; I like to show ships in her 'natural' environment.
Glen, the railings and ladders are photo etched parts. Some of the antennas and stabilizers are carbon fiber.

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried
