As I just "pimped up" my old GPM Arizona ( built in 2000),i.e. new barrels, new Kingfishers, painting over the bright red of the underwater hull, I found it a nice experience to compare California with Arizona.

I like that side-by-side comparison Hans. You really get a sense of the naval architecture and the differences between Arizona and California.
Very interesting.

Yes. Since the two classes were similar, this photo really shows up the wartime changes in anti-aircraft armament, added torpedo blisters, new control towers, deck widening, and radar. It's very nice to be able to make these kinds of comparisons with such excellent models.

I have a copy of this model, and like you, I want to be as accurate as I can. I have not been able to run down the set of plans you have shown in the thread. Would it be possible to purchase a download of them from you. Thanks for your time.
