RN. Pegaso, the Upholder killer

Hi everyone,

I'm starting here the building of the Torpedo escort boat Pegaso, the ship which allegedly sunk the british submarine Upholder e surely the HMS Thorn. The model was ready at the beginning of september when disaster struck. My computer crashed, and I lost all the 3d models and the textures. Just couple of days ago I've discovered some backup files I had made. These are the pictures of the rendered 3d model, nothing else has survived, except for the unpholded model jpg. I used pepakura to do so, but I discovered that It couldn't save the texture in high resolution... so I had to redesign again them by hand using the basic shape. As you can see, the model is not complete. I'm not very pratical with 3d models, so I designed only those parts that I couldn't design by hand.

So,

time to start

Here the hull pieces, and the Hull completed. Surprisingly, no problem here, beside some my little mistakes.

Marco

As normal, when I thought everything was going smooth and easy, disaster stroke. The lower bridge marks don't agree with the upper ones. the reason? easy, when I projected the hull I gave to the sections sequential numbers, then I used only half of them, and rechanged the numbers sequence... unfortunatelly, I didn't change the numbers in one table, or I used an old one, anyway, section 13 was 12 and viceversa. I will correct...

Then, I try to put the front part and... It's 2mm lower???
How is this possible?
The piece came from Pepakura, and I used for the 3d model the same scheme than the pieces that I designed manually. I checked the dimensions three times and they were right up to the pixel...
Well, back to Gimp and here is the hull finished.

Nice, really like the bright green hull bottom, makes the model pop. Looking forward to more of this most excellent build/design.
