For the sheds I used two layers of varnish on the walls, and three on the roofs. The ground level was made with authentic, hand-collected Brunei silica sand. To keep the lines straight I used some sand in the suspended box as well. The "plants" are shredded green foam for model railways. Unfortunately I don't have any figures to go with this.

Thank you all! The kit came with both the Dutch VOC and royal Swedish flags - I used mostly VOC flags.
