sorry i missed this Inky...
I have a simple paper sphere that I used for my radomes on my AC-130 models.

It can be easily altered back to a sphere/globe.
I will give you the pattern if you still need it.

But at the scale in your first photos, you might not like the assembly.
A 6mm globe made from about 8 parts (plus joiner strips) could be a litle tricky.
If this is a personal scratch build, then I agree with your idea to use plastic BB balls.

usually, vessels as fancy as a yacht (and most others) are measured LOA (length over all) and LWL (length water line). LWL can be signigicantly longer than than LOA, but not always. typically that depends on things like the shape of the bow and stern (draft and beam too). there are certain equations regarging hull efficiency for purpose of vessel, and/or area of use. the technique of hull designing in naval architecture is traditionally known as "lofting". i'm not very good at it, so i usually stick to landing craft....lol! don't forget the "sheer"!

Thanks Dave but you are right, being that small would drive me crazy. I think I will stick with the beads for now. Thanks any ways.

UUUUUUUMMMMMMMM, OK. You lost me on, "usually". HAHAHA

I do understand some of what you explained but not sure how it all works.
