Hallo friends,

A small progress again

I put flowers on the ship. My idea to use the dark - blue paint turn out to be right - golden pieces are wisible absolutely well. I glued them using uncoloured matt revell colour.

I also improved the bow a littlem now I can prepare freezings between wales. And, finally, channels are placed too.

That´s all at the moment. I´m going to work on another small pieces

Marco: Thank you

Jan

I am not a ship builder, but I am enjoying your build of this model. You are doing a wonderful job!

Beautiful build, I like how the ship evolved from the ugly frames of corrugated cardboard to its present beauty (and hopefully, will look even better in the future)

Thanks friends for your comments.

Although I have less time for this hobby. I made several parts of the bow decoration - see pictures bellow ( sorry for poor quality, but I took them at the evening )

As you can see, I overworked the bow totally - there´s no model of the La Couronne with this type of galion. The decoration is pure improvisation - there are no pictures or evidences of the look of the bow. In my opinion is my way of galion structure and decoration more realistic.

Decoration continues

Jan

Hello Jan,
The craftsmanship on display here is inspiring. I hope you continue to find time for this project. Those wonderful decorations around the gunports above the bow are something I have never seen before. It gives it a very "royal" appearance.

Even so, it looks so natural on your model - this thread is sensational
