Building SD 14

I could not put all that detail in without some evidence in the finished ship so I have 6 cut out sections on the port side; bow, hold 2 just below the tween deck, mid-ships to show the double bottom, machinery space with a replica engine (Sulzer 5 RD 680), below floor in hold 5 to show the tunnel floors and a window into the steering gear flat to show a replica of the double ram electro-hydraulic mechanism. Then I took a valium!

SD 14 cargo ship

Hello,

Just for information to all:
We had the SD14 from Marco van Hattum on our ESM show last Saturday.
It was a whow experience for a lot of the approx. 2.500 visitors.

Then your remark about the bridge interior: have a look on Shipspotting.com it is a web site only and alone about ships.
They have categories. And there is a SD14 catergory as well!! With over 1.500 pictures.
Either by entering a ship name or an IMO number in the seuarch machine you can find a specific SD14 vessel.
And I know for sure that there 1 or 2 ( not many) pictures about the interior of the so called SAIGON 5 ship.

Just have a loo and try.

Regards,

Gert Vlaanderen

SD14 Cargo Ship

Hello,

Actually I transported the SD14 model for Marco van Hattum from his home address to the exhibition location!! ( Ford Transit !!)

It would fit in my Nissan X-trail as well, but I had another 2 m3 of stuff for the show as well so I did need a little bit more space.

In 2015 the show will be held on October 31 st.
Most probably at the same location.

Regards,

Gert Vlaanderen
