It's been some time since I posted an update and worked on the model but now that I've finished excavating and helping my brother build a tree house for his kids. I can start back making models again, so I'm going to endeavour to finish the SD 14 before I start back on the other models.
Added swageing to the back of accommodation block and part of the bridge deck. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small167.jpg Added the front and sides of the bridge deck. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small168.JPG The rest of the back and the cabins have been put in place put in place. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small169.jpg Top view showing the cabin layout. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small170.jpg Looking from the front and then the back of accommodation block. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small171.jpg http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small172.jpg The boat deck glued on top. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small173.jpg The forward sides and front of the boat deck glued in place. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small174.jpg The forward cabins assembled. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small175.JPG http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small176.jpg The completed boat deck cabins. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small177.jpg From the back. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small178.jpg Added the rest of the swageing to the back of the accommodation block. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small179.jpg Marking out where the port side swageing will go, I had to move some windows a bit so I could fit the right number of swageing in for each deck. http://www.papermodelers.com/gallery...m/small180.jpg That's all for now. |
Some more progress the top of the bridge deck.

What a monster.
Makes me think of the 'Jaws' film. Except this time you're going to need a bigger house. Tim |
Wow, big model. I wonder how big a Godzilla you would need to match it's size:eek:
|
thanks tim dont think i can justify a move jet on the grounds of more model room unless the lottery works. got to get it down stairs when its finnished and out of the house for the odd model show maybe.
