Way to go Don. Laminating the hatches, bollard plates and crating work fine and add dimensional structure to the model. Now I have to think what to do ext, I think I'l do couple of barges. Or something on the quay, some containers serving as storage space maybe.

Just now, my grandson and I are building a couple of van ships from the Japanese anime Last Exile. But ater he goes home later today, I am going to post the images of my first workboat (NOT nearly as good as either of yours!) and begin the second one with the additonal deck details and (perhaps) rolled cigarete paper bollards.

Your photos and advice about these models is most welcome, Tappi. I have ordered the larger workboat and it will, I hope, be a follow-on project: BKM 102 | Paper Shipwright

I have that too Don, it's a fine one too. That's the kit I'm planning to 'steal' the containers on the quay. :-)
David Hathaway has a very precise and crisp outlook on his designs. Very unique and pleases my eye.

Nice job on this one.
I up scaled it to 1:100, and made a barge to go with it:

Let me know if you would like the barge.

Have a good one.

Nice job David, good to see it scales up too. And the barge is nice too.
I think Pat was referring to my pair - if you look closely (like Pat always does) the lights on the roof are not the same way. I took some artistic liberties. :D

One more thing David - I'd love to have your barge. Similar one from PaperShipwrights come without the covering and yours look good. I think Don Boose would apreciate it aswell.

Precise work!
At Christmas, I begin to build dioramas port (cca. 1870), this work inspires me!
