Darwin: It might be worth the Zloty's to have a look at Profile Morskie's book on the Mogami.

I would heartily agree with Jim on that note. Those guys do some excellent drawing making even the most confusing details clear and understandable. Not to mention, usually, a 1/700 and a 1/400 two view series of the ship overall in color and B&W.

It's not the Zlotys that get to me...it's the Euros that kill the bank account. I agree with the worth of the Morskie drawings and books. I plunged for the 1:200 drawing PDF. I'm not all that sure yet how much it is going to help on the first part of the project, as two major refits occurred between the version I've been working and the one shown by the Morskie drawings, but from photos, it doesn't look as if much in the way of major changes happened to the forward end of the ship...and, the major difference was removal of the two aft turrets and building a flight deck over them.
