HMV Tonnenleger Bruno Illing 1:250

Coming back from holidays, it's time to begin a new model: the HMV Tonnenleger Bruno Illing.
Here you can see the four A4 sheets of the model and the lasercut sheets.

This 1968 German buoy tender was painted with the new colors of the maritime police in 2006; the kit allows to choose between the two versions.
I have opted for the newest version, which features more colorful hull sides and the Schifffahrtspolizei logo on the superstructure.
The model on the cover of the kit is the original version.

The hull is already almost complete, as you can see in these pictures.

In the first two pictures there are the superstructures on the bow. The tall orange structure is typical of the 2006 version, while in the original one it was smaller and grey (see the cover of the kit).

In the other pictures there are some small parts: lights, a small crane, a radar mast, bollards, winches, anchors and davits.

Excellent work on the small details. The davits look to my eye very much like the Welin davits installed on amphibious ships in World War II and Korea.

Hello Tommaso,
The superstructure looks excellent.
All the small parts are very cleanly done.

Hello!
Today's parts are the lifeboat and the life raft.
Also, I've assembled some parts at the bow: the anchor windlass, two staircases with some railings, various bollards and the base of the crane which will be constructed later.

@Wilfried thank you for the nice pictures of the real Bruno Illing!

Cheers
Tommaso
