Didn't find one

but looking at pictures, might not be too difficult to make one from scratch. No real compound curves so would relatively straight forward if you can locate some plans with hull lines from which to trace the frames.

I found some hull lines that look typical at:
Model Boat Building Resource

Plus a site for full size boat builders that has a useful 'preview' pdf:
http://dhylanboats.com/diana_plans.html

Search for further details using Google or www.duckduckgo.com, etc.

Got the hull done tonight. That was the easy part... Used the plans posted above, she is 32'x9' and will be a generic Jonesport lobster boat. Scale is TBD, maybe 1:32

Wow Avery, it's been so long since I heard from you, I was going to drop you a note. Those study plans are great. I look forward to seeing your model. It will be great, I'm sure.

I still have that Brass Hand operated Bilge pump with your name on it!

Three Curve Loft...,

Avery,

Messing about with the posted Diane study model a lofting with only three curves was achieved. Took about an hour total from Photoshoping the three view to adjusting the curves to get a fair fit.

What talent!

Cool stuff, guys! Although there is no "one" Maine lobster boat, the design is pretty formulaic, in that the high, wave cutting bow is mated to a relatively shallow stern, deep keel beam and single screw. The Diana drawings show all those features. With the flat panels of the cabin and cockpit and the smooth curves on the hull, it looks ideal for paper. Toughest part would be to deciding whether to follow a particular boat or make things more generic. Finding enough pix to support building a specific boat is, I am finding, a bit tough.

The Fiddler's Green model is pretty simplistic and as a waterline model would take some further engineering to get a full hull.

If there were ever an iconic American small boat design, this would be it.

Hi Gil, that's a nice hull. I was using the other plans for mine since it has more lines for Sketchup to follow (I have a lofting plug-in but it still wants a lot of information) and it's a bit closer to the size I want to design. I am roughing out a pilothouse based on the Diana plans with adjustment for the differing styles and sizes.

Hi Robert, thanks, I think I will make mine fairly generic since I don't have a particular boat to work off of. If one wants, it would not be hard to modify it to represent a single boat.

Hi John, I've been crazily busy lately. I'll drop you a note soon. I'll be back up at the boat in a couple months and would love to stop by again

Thanks, Jim! I'll have another update soon.
