Le Coureur

Got this today from the Post, a little late for Christmas, but what the heck, still got it for a gift from my sweety. I have wanted one of these for awhile and she got the very one I wanted, a French Lugger. One of the most complete card models I have had so far bar none. Now, the question is, do I have the nerve?

Very nice indeed. Yes you do have the courage. You've shown us now you can't back down mate.

Cheers and good luck with this one.

Boy finding info for this vessel is hit and mis!

Brief History: Le Coureur was a Lugger or Chasse Maree of the French Royal Navy.

The Le Coureur was captured by the British Cutter Alert on the 17th of June, 1778.

Le Coureur Captian, Enseign de Rosily was ordered to surrender by the Alert, but refused and a fierce battle ensued.

For approximately an hour and a half, both ships fought side by side. Both ships were badly damaged and de Rosily struck his colours after five of his crew of 50 was killed and 12 more severely wounded.

Nice goodie from your sweetie. Also some good advice on that nameplate as well.

To quote a Star Trek line, "Resistance is futile......." :D

This will be an enjoyable project to watch. Also looking forward to your build of Carl's Lavoisier.

Hello Friend. Glad to see your face and your kind words as always a gentleman. I ordered a copy of the Lavoisier from Carl, I had a problem with my computer and Michal tried his best, but I just could not get it to work the way his system is set up. I am sure for all who read, this is not a problem with him, but rather with my crappy PC! But what the heck, now I will save ink and card since Carl will provided as a printed kit. As for the Le Coureur, I am studying it, I don't want to botch such an expensive kit.

Wow, what a nice ship! I wish you a great enjoyment and luck. The build is quite easy, some my friends already build this boat and it looks great.
