Here I am again with a new project. This time it's a cruiser of the Italian Navy. R.N. Scipione Africano. The model is the GPM in scale 1:200, converted into 1:400. Today I did some tests with life jackets, inflatables positioned on the 135 cannons and the first two 20mm machine guns.

Excellant choice marco. Good work so far. How did you manage the uniformity in the larger liferafts, they are all the same size and have the rounded tube appearance of the raft.

Hello deckape, Mike, Don and Ted thanks for your encouragement for this new project.
Ted the life rafts are made with the same system I used to make jackets. I have used copper wire of 0.8 mm thick and the I wound on two nails 2mm thick so as to make the spirals. Then I cut the spirals and joined the ends. Once colored with the colors more suitable to the model here is ready the raft. Marco

Updating the start of construction of the superstructure. Why start there? The biggest problem of a conversion from 1:200 to 1:400 is to understand the thickness of the overlapping structures and the superstructure is good to understand the exact thickness of paper should I use then for the whole model.
