Mike,

I'm afraid not. Since my last post on this thread my mother and her sister suffered bouts with diverticulitus (sp?) and ended up having 3 and 4 inches of colon removed. My other aunt had a flesh eating virus attack her rear end and she has lost 90% of it. She is doing much better and is actually back at work. My nephew came to visit for 6 weeks in June and July. That was a great time, but my work room turned into a storage room so we could give him his own room to stay in. By the time I got that cleaned out my Mother-in-law ended up in the hospital 3 times in 2 months for numonia, dehydration and other issues to the point she was in ICU for awhile and when she went home she required a lot of help. Then the holidays hit with in-laws coming and staying with us.

So, bottom line up font, I haven't worked on anything since May 2012.

I was happy to see this model built in another thread, though. Awesone job! Another great kit from CT.

Amazing how things and time catch up with you. I hope to start up something here soon.

My apologies for the long drawn out answer.

Jeff

Much appreciated, CT. Much appreciated.

I've felt bad about not getting back to your ship, but as you can see, either not in the mood, not able to even get to it, or just plain too busy.

Keep up the great work and good luck on your new job.

Jeff

Gents ,can I correct a statement made earlier in this thread, that the vessel was completed and put into service.
She was in fact burned to prevent capture 143 -15 April 1865.
The completed ships of this type were named for forts, themselves named after generals.
THe design was intended for aggressive coastal warfare, and bids fair to be regarded, along with CSS Selma as the first protected cruisers. Construction of he type was halted in favour of full ironclads, as the emphasis changed from offense to defense.
