PCE-844 Based on Admirable from Digital Navy 1/250
I believe that there has been a prior build of this type, converting Digital Navy's Admirable Class AM-157 to a PCE class. I am maintaining the 1/250 scale of the original model.
I have one picture of the PCE-844: I also have a set of general plans from HNSA of the PCE-874 which has provided me with good information. I am not shooting for a perfect copy, but hope to achieve a close replica. Here is a picture of the first sheet of parts, I am assuming that the coloring in the previous picture is Measure 22. Here are the first steps of the rework. That's it for now, hopefully I'll have some updates tomorrow. Have a good day.

I'm always glad to see the Digital Navy Caravan under construction.
I got about 3/4 of the way toward completion a few years ago and still hope to complete this one some day. Yours looks good so far and I am interested in the conversion to the PCE configuration. Some of the first ships in the Republic of Korea Navy were Admirable-class PCEs and I would like to build the Digital Navy ship in that configuration. Don |

Hello all.
Don, so far the conversion hasn't been to difficult. As the original PDF's are not vector based, I exported them out to jpg's at 600 dpi and do all of my editing in GIMP 2.6. Most of it is copy and paste, and some new stuff such as the third aft gun tub which is based on the other two. Hope you finish yours. Ron, the HNSA and NavSource Navy History Photo Archive are a great source of information. Michael, thank you very much for your comments, your work is fantastic and I hope to achieve your level. Well, between yesterday evening and today, I got the hull covered and the deck house pieces made. Here are a couple of pictures, the second one is a dry fit only. Tomorrow I hope to get more of the superstructure stuff done. Thanks

Hello all. Here's an update of my progress.
I put the modified deck over the 01 level deckhouse with the additional gun tubs and wrapped it with the splinter shield. Also cut out the after ladderway that isn't part of the model. (Designed the ladders as well.) Added the deflector(?) pieces to the front of the wheelhouse, although I think I need 1 more on each side by the looks of the picture I have of the 844. I am looking for a little help as well. The boat that comes with the original model is nothing like a 26ft MWB. If anybody knows of a model of one that looks closer than the one with the kit, I'd really appreciate it cause it would save me the work of redoing the one in the kit. Thanks in advance. That's it for now, until the next time.

Hello all.
Still at work on the model. Slow but steady. Here are some pictures of my advances on the superstructure: Here is a picture with the wheelhouse set on top bu not glued. The mast isn't glued either: Until the next time.
