USS Salt Lake City - WAK
Anyone here order the USS Salt Lake City yet? It looks to be a great model, I ordered mine 2 months ago, but alas still awaiting arrival from WAK out of Poland. I will write a review and post a build when and if I receive it.
She'll look real nice next to my Fly Portland Joe |

As some one who lives near that City I would like to see it getting built.

WAK refunded my entire cost, it is in limbo someplace. I did re-order it from GPM and she arrived in perfect condition in 2 weeks to the US from Poland. I also ordered laser frames for both her and my older Shokaku kit. Once I finish Arizona and Oklahoma I m going to build Shokaku, couldn't resist the temptation to asssemble her frames.
A kit review of the Salt Lake City, this is on par with all of Wak's kits, clean and not too overly complicated of a build. Her colors are excellent and she should build into a fine model, highly reccomended. I did for some reason forget to order barrels, so I will need to do so in the future. |

I look forward to your build. Salt Lake City is a truly historic warship for many reasons, not least as the first of the Treaty heavy cruisers and for its participation in the Battle of the Komondorski Islands. Some say Salt Lake City engaged in more naval engagements than any other ship in the U.S. Navy. Whether that is true or not, the ship had an extraordinarily active WWII service career.
