Progress with timber ends or bulwark stanchions, redid the knightheads at the bow, were not really visible previously. Enjoying reading Charles Davis and looking at ship rigging to learn better how this one was likely set up.

Thanks Leif for stopping in on this sailing ship, they were always pretty to look at
I can't help from enjoying working on one. Lots of things to do and learn about. Yesterday was trying to figure what type of winch for the anchors this one might have had... found a picture of the existing one from the "Pride of Baltimore II" but I think still isn't quite the same for a bit larger vessel. Close though.
Mike it helps to take distant shots ha. What are you working on?
Happy new year to all

Well . . . . . we have seen your close-up shots, and the quality of the work holds up.
Regarding what I am working on: Sometime in the New Year, I should have some images to share on a scratch-build of U.S.S. Connecticut.

Happy New Year!
Mike

Nice to see your new project Mike, I'm slowly plugging along added some belaying pins redid the anchor windlass just looked too big, getting the forward parts back on.
Sorry the picture quality is poor trying to figure out some things yet...

It really looks clean Glen.
No dust gathered on this one during the time off.

Nice to have had you aboard Rick. I'm trying to figure the line sizes, this ship was rigged with rope, no wire rigging yet in 1830. I've bought some line from a wood ship model supply, putting in some eyebolts for cannon and then will start getting the deadeyes attached for the foremast.
