Some pictures to show the building of yards, these are the fore, done, main and mizzen main yards. mizzen with cranse iron loops for jackstay, main with jackstays on and fore with studding sail booms and foot rope

To my eye, indistinguishable from full size yards.

Thanks Mike,
some progress on the foresail, lifts, slings, lifts tackle and falls I know it is slow but I don't work on it steadily. However when some progress is made its still gratifying

Looks good as always Glen.
The first image provides a close-up view and I noticed the "planks" in the walls of the cabin. Can you comment about the technique used? Mike |

Thanks Mike, I did glue on strips of card to simulate planks, trying to make it look more like a wood model. That little cabin sat for a loong time I may have spruced it up along the way

Thanks. It does appear you put something extra into it. My cabins are printed on paper. I do my best with the artwork, but the planks don't have that 3-D appearance you achieved with this one. It also looks like you added a separate corner piece, to make it even better. (It reminds me of one of those cabins in a "Bob Ross" painting.) |

Nice job Birder. I like the top platform and the detail around it.
