Thanks Jim, it is fun to see a bit of progress. I have been working on this one a bit recently, and nearing the completion of the foremast,or at least is in sight.
With the addition of yards means adding the essential parts of each yard, the parrels or cranse irons that hold the yard to the mast, the lifts that control the up and down angle of the yard, the halliards on movable yards that raise or lower the yard, and the braces that angle the yard. No braces yet as the lines would the a problem to work around. Adding the tackle and falls to the deck is fun but slow work.

Very nice work Glen.
Regarding sail ships, I'm no expert.
But I can appreciate the craftsmanship.

Thanks Mike and Greg I'm enjoying learning about how these ships were rigged as it gives some idea of the work involved with sailing them, hard to imagine climbing up these to work on a moving sail on a moving sea...

Thanks PAPER FAN, its been a learning experience for me. This ship interestingly did not have split topsails or topgallants, and added sail area with large studding sails, on lower 3 yards, and "spencer masts" behind each mast for a gaff rigged sail. Some pics of progress, tackle and falls for a halliard, overview of ship and mast and newer backstays for the foremast. Had to make a few more deadeyes, used wood for these.

Good clear photos Glen.
They give a good view of all the fine details you have worked hard to create.

Well this model has an update, watching all the ship models going on I felt like doing a little rigging, dusted of the model, working on the Main mast spars and rigging. Also making some parts for the mizzen later (how much later?). The deck needs alot, including cannon, and will have to construct a pump, I think I know what type she would have carried, and many little items, but it is fun to work on this old model started years ago....
