HMV Tanker Norderney 1:250

Hello!
After the quick trip into architectures with the Dahenfelder Rathaus, I'm returning to my more usual shipbuilding.

The model is the HMV tanker "Norderney". It's 30 cm long, printed on four A4 sheets; the detailed version is made of about 400 parts.
As usual, I've bought also the LC set; it will be very useful especially for the black parts (several railings, ladders and staircases).

Cheers,
Tommaso

Excellent! I have this model and hope to build it some day, so will be watching your build very closely.

I love the appearance of this early 20th century merchant ship. A real classic.

I too have one of these in the stash, and will be following your build.

Like Don I too have this one and it's interesting to see how it's built. I must say you are productive and new models just keep on coming.

Hello!
I've begun the model: these first pictures show the first stages of the construction of the hull.

Cheers,
Tommaso

Hello!
I've finished the hull and I have begun the superstructures.
Here you see the hull (1-3), the parts for the construction of the superstructures (5) and of the tank lids (4-6).
I've also added the bulwark stanchions to the model (7), following a suggestion that I received on a forum. The deck looks much prettier with them.
Finally, you can see the tank lids assembled (8) and glued in place (9).

Cheers,
Tommaso
