It also looks like they should be closer to the center line, when compared to plans. This goes back to my original observation. Major design flaw! bummer:(

This would not have been a problem for me as I would have made this a waterline model. But if you want a full hull, it's a pain to have to fix things like this.

I also remember Modelik does provide some coloured areas for just in case if some part went wrong. Would that be enough to make a few hull skin from? Or if not, just a few patches? It's also worth considering putting longitudinal paper strips on the hull to simulate the real texture of the underwater hull surface [and covering up the disaster zone in the process]

On the off-topic, I'm still brushing up my skills to prepare for the eventual day that ship will come to shape, still time to come though thanks for asking

I keep thinking if the design below the waterline is bad, then the design above the waterline is probably just as suspect! I saw that someone (maybe Halinski) was coming out with a version of San Francisco. I'm going bail on this model and keep my eye open for that one.
