Hi folks,

@all: Thank you for your kind comments

It's been a while since my last update on the "Merian". I simply didn't have the time for posting... sorry.
So here comes a lot of new pics, i hope you'll enjoy them.
1.: I added the railing and ladder for the construction in front of the funnel.
2.-8.: Many many details cover the main deck. Bollards, hatches, braces, winches... The grey winches 57/58 are used to pull the ship to its mooring place ("mooring winch"). I used thin tacklling yarn (0,1mm) to imitate the hauling ropes.
The large red winches 60 are movable on the original ship; they can be installed on any part of the main deck.
9.-10.: Two pics of the original winches.

Coming next is the first crane 61-63... stay tuned

The crane 61-63 comsists of many tiny parts. It's printed on red cardboard, so no edge colouring was needed here
It can be built with a "stretched arm" or in a resting position.
1.-8.: Pics from the building process. I used some 0,8mm steel wire for the hydraulic parts but as the crane lies in "resting position", almost nothing of it can be seen...
9.-10.: 2 pics of the original

Coming up are some pics of the finished crane "on deck"...

1.-4.: Some views of the crane "on deck". Notice the 1-Cent piece in the first pic
5.-8.: Finally, it's summer here! At least for a few days... the weather forecast already announces thunderstorms for the evening... But as it is now, here are 4 "nice weather" pics of the "Maria S. Merian"!

Have a nice weekend

Cheers

Lars

Really looks wonderful Lars. Your crane is an excellent replica of the real one, featured in the images. Also: very very good camera work.
