Gremir 1/200 IJN Suzuya...

I've been working on Gremir's Suzuya and so far it has been great. The hull is fairly complex because of the torpedo blister, but both the frames and the underside of the hull have come together well.

Next it's the hull sides and then the torpedo blisters will go on after that.

Hi Russ,

You know I will be watching
Bottom of the hull looks great and this is the most crucial part of any ship - frankly this is the main reason I stay away from them (multitude of small and repetitive parts doesn't help either )

Plodding along...

Michael, I'm with you...hulls aren't fun! But, in order to get to the fun top bits ya gotta finish the boring bottom bits!

The quality of the kit continues to be outstanding...any flaws you see are mine and not the kit's!

Unfortunately the torpedo launchers almost disappear once the sides are installed.

But those are the parts that you have to love. They are for you especially! Nice project and good looking job.

Work continues on the hull & anti-torpedo blisters. The fit has been excellent throughout!

Work continues...

The anti-torpedo blisters and hull are (finally) complete. Everything went together well, but it was complex. Hoping to finish the rudders and screws by the end of the weekend. A quick spray of sealer and then I can kiss the boring bits goodbye and turn her over!!
