I'm currently working on the Steamer Alexandra in 1:250 scale by HMV and will be posting updates here.
Here's my progress so far. |

That's a very good-looking little steamer, and your model looks very trim.

Interesting model.
Used in the Med or Egypt?

I made some further progress. I really like the laser-cut part set that came with this model, especially the benches.
I had trouble with attaching the sides of the ship and I'm not very satisfied with how it turned out. Does anyone have a good forum post or video that walks through how this can be done effectively? |

I can't find anything wrong with your attachment of the sides and the tiny deck furniture (literally) looks perfect.
Kevin - Not Med or Egypt, but built in Hamburg, named after Princess Alexandra zu Schleswig-Holstein-Glücksburg, and operating out of Flensburg in Germany. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Location..._Holstein.html https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandra_(Schiff) Don |

Thanks Don. I just realised I misread the name as "Alexandria" - hence my thought of a Med or Egyptian connection! I even did a search for a steamer of this name - not surprisingly without any success...
