Hmmm...the same class as the Bonaventure, this will be interesting, as would shrinking Trackers, Banshees, and Seakings to that size.

I cut out the flight dek:

According to the definition I must start with the bow, but have no idea how I should fold this.....
After some attempts and I stopped and made a copie of this part :

It allows me to practice until I know how to fold this:

And this is the way it has to be

So now I can start with the original bow

After testing I made the real bow:

Here you can see clearly the complicated shape:

After the bow of the ship was placed there was a gap created by the tension in the paper:

Very carefully with a little glue I made it to the body. (Lower done, top not yet):

Then the middle off the flight dek. This is a fairly simple straightforward piece:

But the hull is not very solid so first I marked where the dek should get glued:

And so is the flight dek ready, as you can seen with a little color difference.

I started with the Drenthe ,some pictures enclosed, now the Karel Doorman is under

Nice work. This was a good-looking post-WWII aircraft carrier and your model is cleanly and precisely built, as is your style.

Fred,Thanks for the compliments,enclosed a few photo's from progress
at my building site.
Afraid not as well cleaned as Yours !
As You see I cut the openings for the G deck so have to make more frame's.Rear G deck is now under construction.
Also rebuild the Sykorski's to make them more real as the Tracker's are.
Cheers for now,Jos

Jos, I'am just a starting papermodeler and built OOB ( Out Of Book ).
Nice work that you show, but 1 step higher than mine! ( where can i find a topic of it? )
I wil make the ship the way it's printed.
