The steamer winans, Heinkel Models, Beta build

Again I have been chosen to build the test version of a model of Heinkel Models.

For me it is a joy to do this type of work, I'll be the first to build a model but also a big responsibility because if there are design issues I must detect, model building has to be very accurate

For now I can show the cover

and mounting diagrams

but soon I will show parts of the model mounted

Saludos

I love the designs of Ross Winans cigar ships and this one is one of the most fantastic looking of them all. Good luck on this build and I'll be anxiously watching!

What an interesting subject, and a great idea for a model! I had to look up the history of this ship, given it's unusual propulsion, and found it had a very interesting history, apparently never made it to sea trials and the subject of debate as to feasibility, but quite interesting concept nonetheless.

I know you are going to do a superb job as usual on this one, and I am looking forward to your further updates.

Cheers!
Jim

Some people are convinced that Winans cigar ships were the inspiration for Verne's concept of the Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Nice start to this. I'll be watching this. I think it's such a beautiful and unusual design, I'm glad a quality model of it is being produced.
