Lilla Weneda again

I keep coming across this beautiful model and I have been promising myself that one day I will build her. Well that day has finally come. I started her a few days ago and while I do't have the pictures yet I have completed the hull and bow. Working on te main deck which is the majority of the model. When I get to the seats I will post some pics. this is a most impressive "Free" ship model. I would have scaled her up but I just don't have any room for large ships anymore.

This is the picture of Digital's model from their site. Hopefully mine will come out the same. So far I am on track

Halfway on the benches. I just lay on the couch and cut them out one by one while watching TV. I will get there. Got all the tables cut out. Starting to look like somethig now.

I like everything about Digital Navy. They have some very good starter projects for free download, and then a good range of ships to choose from. I hope you are enjoying this project.

Yes, I finally finished the benches (whew). Now building the tables for the lounge. Nothing in te instructions on these. I am relying on the pictures in the build threads. Couldn't get this done without the help of my fellow modelers who went before me. Haven't seen anything on the life rings though. Guess I will just have to use my immagination make them like a wheel..

Lilla Weneda by Digital Navy (1:100 Scale)

Hi Bionic Modeler,

Have you seen the detailed PDF file with the General Instructions and construction photos? It's much too big to upload here (I tried and failed), so PM me your e-mail address and I will send it to you rightaway. I found it in my Lilla Weneda model folder.

It consists of 15 pages and is very helpful indeed in all the stages of assembly and construction, with enlarged color photos (the same 27 ones as is shown as 'thumbnail' photos at the web page - 'The hull, The cabin, and The rest').

All the best,
Bengt in Stockholm
