This may be your best yet, just based on that beautifully complex hull and multiple inset turrets. Your work is truly an inspiration to the rest of us. Thanks, Carl!

This is trully outstanding modeling, especially considering the complexity of the hull shape and artillery setup.

That's very pretty work GB. (Love the ship and the history lesson that goes along with her)

Not much of an update today. I'm slow in between weekends. I've added the ladders passing into the top deck and built one of the funnels. Curious coloring on the funnel cap. C-M lost the funnel caps after not too many years but I'm aiming at early-in-life so I get to keep them.

I have a little more work done on the model, trying to get the spardeck fitted... but I need some better light to photograph it. It's that time of year where I leave for work in the dark and then get home as it is turning dark.

Here are some outdoor shots. Note that the spardeck and funnels are only set into place.

Wow! The front view looks particularly formidable (even if teporarily placed parts)

I have been enjoying following this exceptional build, Carl. It is interesting to see the difference between the artificial and sunlight photos. The colors appear richer in the articifical light, but the lighter tones under sunlight appear more realistic to my eye.

This was a most appealing ship. I think I said elsewhere that, to my mind and eye, there is a fascinating Jules Vern quality to the head on appearance.

You have certainly developed some innovative techniques for this model and exceeded your own very high standard of craftsmanship (and steadiness of hand and keenness of eye).
