The Foaming process went good i did`t fill whole hull at one go cos this could make the walls...migrate..)i was adding little bit into every single section and waited until expands ant then repeated all process again making sure no walls are being pushed form one another ..no problems reported with a foam maybe little bit smelly..it did bond well with a card stock
This model is a far differently from original ship .. so i have modified her in many ways to make it look as similar as possible to the original,i will explain everything.

So Turrets....i did`t use a foam..to made them ,below you can see the original one

here we have these from model

I decided to designed new one, to create them i used a millimeter paper ) yes no computer...

once assembled i filled any gaps painted them and sanded after drying

next i had to do "cones" using pins from popular board game Battleship...

another step was to create a ladders onto turrets i used a 0.5 mm copper wire

and here "almost" done...you can see comparison both of them from model and mine )

OK,that`a all for today try put some more tomz.feel free to ask any questions
regards.

Railings

hi there ,today i will present to you how i have made the ship railings

to made it i used copper wire 0.5 mm which i have straighten out on long even board making sure the wire is properly tight

then glued across already prepared short wires at regular intervals

once glue dried out i cut all the "pillars" using pattern to the right high

thx.

Bow

this episode will be dedicated to the ship bow..which in this model is a far from original...Below u can see the real one

And here we have that from model...A huge difference as for me..

So..as a first i had to do the framework

And then glue it all over with matching(cut to the shape of framework) strips of paper i did prepare earlier

And here we have a new bow)

Welcome again Today am gonna talk little bit about elevators on saratoga i modified them as wellBecause these in model are very simply...they don`t have underside supporting structure as those real ones and also wanted to do them moving..up and down..like real onesSo i draw up the plans..printed and assembled

Another modification was to built a structure supporting safety nets on the sides of elevators ,made out of paper and copper wire 1.0 mm

As a list thing to do..was to painted all..)
