Hi Friends,

With the additon of the last two declines and some paint touch up, the DAY TIDE is complete. As the BREDFORD DOLPHIN includes anchors, I will use one of hers to on deck when I incorporate the DAY TIDE into the diorama.

To finish the kit as shown I used about 120 cm of HMV 3 rail lasercut railings, six 15 degree declines and two 30 degree lasercut declines from Pleiner.

Here then are a few shots of the DAY TIDE returning from a long day of laying anchors.

Thanks for reading along.

Best Regards,

Cris

Hello Friends,

As some of you may know, Papership.de puts out a yearly calender in A3/A4 formats. This year, my humble DAY TIDE is the pinup girl for July.

So for a year full of beautiful paper ships, get the calendar here Fehlermeldung - Kartonbau.de - Alles rund ums Kartonmodell courtesy of Kartonbau.de

Kind Regards,

Cris

Fine looking work boat you built.
Yes, to get back to your earlier question, as far as I can recall the oil rigs were the jack-up kind. We carried rig workers, machinery, pipes, fuel, consumables, and what ever the rig needed that could fit on or in the boat.

The link you provided gives an Invalid ID error message.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the info about your experiences, always interesting.

Hmmm, I see now that you must register at Kartonbau.de to gain access to the downloads. Sorry about that.

Kind Regards,

Cris

I spend entirely too much time on AH-OSVs like this one. during the 70's and 80's, most tidewater boats were named after race horses owned by principal investors. you have done a great job.

Here is the deck set for a seismic survey. The vessel is the C-Ross (a Chouest NA 240). The rig is Shell's GoM "Mars" production platform. The gear belongs to Baker-Hughes and Liccardi transportation.
