Hello Dieter,

Good work! even though you could, and you have the ability to make the boat more realistic. However, I am very happy to see you at work! I was very worried about your abandonment.

Marco

Hello Dieter, nice build.
I have this from CFM and I am well aware of the size of the parts to build this wonderful Pocket Battleship. Looking forward to more.

Hi Dieter,
good luck with the 15cm guns. Dont worry about more details or realistic improvements of some assemblies - its looking good as can be seen easily.
I agree with marco - its a pity that you closed the door in the other forum.
Nevertheless we are all here watching your progress.
Cheers Klaus (SY190)

Thumbs up

These are great kits, and yours is coming along very nicely indeed. I enjoyed building the JSC Tirpitz {same scale}

Hi all,
and thank's a lot for your kind remarks.

@Marco: You are right, this nice ship deserves a little more attention and fantasy. Maybe I will redo the lifeboats (luckily this time I didn't forgot to make a safety-copy).

@Klaus: Thank you, I see it from the positive side: I will have more time to build models now

I started with the 15cm guns, the original is very simple: only the turret and a (selfmade-)barrel. I try to give it a little more realistic touch.
The barrel is made of wire with a coil of paper. The stand is made of paper.
The pictures show the gun unpainted, it will be in light grey next time.

So far I'm satisfied with the result, now there are 7 more guns to build.

Greetings
Dieter

Hi all,

I added the anchors an the winches, but I still have to think about the anchor-chains.
And now: seven more guns, built and painted, they were ready to be placed on the ship.
Next parts will be the torpedo-tubes and the AA-guns.

Greetings
Dieter

Didibuch, go to your local (girl/woman) clothes shop and look for those racks/displays with the cheap jewelry. You might find a chain small enough for the Spee. I did this with great effect on my De Ruyter cruiser (even though it is a larger scale):

Nice work on the Spee, by the way.
