Kaiten Type 1

My subject this time around is the Kaiten suicide torpedo, specifically the Type 1--the only type to see regular service. I've decided to try something new with this design; doing step-by-step instructions instead of the usual diagram with arrows thing I usually do.

The model parts are arranged sequentially, so each page is a progression from the last. Each page contains pieces for just one portion of the model; for instance, page one contains the bow pieces (warhead, forward bulkheads, etc.), the second page containing parts for the crew compartment and conning tower, and so on. On each page are instructions explaining how to assemble the portion contained on said page. Hopefully, this will allow the builder to assemble the model more intuitively and prevent him from going back and forth between pages for parts.

Vielen dank, mein Freund!

Finally finished the last bit of the Kaiten itself. Probably going to do a stand for it as well, if I can figure out how exactly I'll pull that off.

Another great model and considering that my two previous builds of Kaitens were destroyed in a recent move, this is the right thing at the right time. Congrats on another great model and thanks!
