For anyone interested in the H.G. Watkins models: I have come across four of them:
- Achilles / Leander
- Dido
- Renown
- Submarines Surcouf, Growler and Regent

See my site - Zeist Bouwplaten - Import, verkoop, ontwerp en productie van papieren schaalmodellen, maquettes en bouwplaten (cardmodels), Modelbouw, Rietveld cutoutmodels, page Ships, Collectors' Items.

Sketchup Warehouse has a USS Texas model, it just needs to be unfolded to make a card model. I don't have time to do this, but hope somebody can take the torch and cross the finish line. I visited the USS Texas in Houston last year, but didn't have time to go aboard. She's currently leaking like a sieve and is in danger of becoming an artificial reef in Houston harbor.

re: USS New york Texas

On the website of The
Historic Naval Ship Association there are lots of ship plans including New York, Texas, Colorado, Idaho and lots of others. I just copied USS Astoria, a New Orleans class cruiser. this site is a scratch builders paradise.

Thanks for the information posted here. My father had a collection of paper models which I have been selling on eBay. There are a couple of these in the collection. When I first looked at them I didn't think much of them. I didn't even see a brand name until I found the little copyright on the side of the page. They have price tags on them for $3.50. I think he picked them up at a museum sale. Anyways, if anyone wants to look it up, I have the H.G. Watkins heavy cruiser Houston on eBay now.
