RMS Olympic 1911 1:1200
Most of you may know mr. Currell's models. And some of us might know his model of the Titanic.
Others may know about my work on them, creating sets for models of Titanic's sisterships. All were there, all but one.. An model of Olympic in her maiden voyage, 1911, appearance. Until now. Mr. Currell and I combined our efforts and we present to you our model of White's Star's "Ship Magnificient" R.M.S. OLYMPIC The model can be found at mr. Currell's website. Enjoy your build, and show us your results! With regards, Jerry

Currell-Vondeling 'RMS Olympic' 1911 1:1200 Scale
Very nice, Jerry,
The "Old Reliable" as she looked at the time of her launch at Harland & Wolff, with the original amount of life boats. Now it is possible to build all three 'sisters' as they were intended to look. Downloaded & saved for a rainy weekend in the future. Thank you. All the best, Bengt in Stockholm |

RMS Olympic 1911 1:1200
Hi Jerry,
The open A deck promenade hull sides of the 1911 Olympic model, on sheet 2, are VERY nicely done! All the best, Bengt |

Thanks for the comments Bengt and Peter, I am glad you like the model!
Actually Bengt, the open A deck promenade is the same as the on from the 1920's model. Most changes were made to the deckhousing and aft open B deck promenade, showing the restaurant, which later was behind the partially enclosed B deck promenade. I'll later post up a picture showing the differences between the promenades of the 1911 and 1920's model. Jerry

Very beautiful, Jerry. All that's missing is the hapless HMS Hawke... ;-)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Hawke_(1891) I know you also included RMS Britannic in passenger service, but have you considered eliminating the lifeboat gantries for the original RMS Gigantic design? I believe there's enough evidence that White Star did intend to name her Gigantic. Thank you again, David T. Okamura |
