JSC Queen Mary II
Just started a new kit for my son.
I hope to follow the build on this thread. Here are the first photos of the hull skeleton.. Look like i may have to take over the dining room table! it's a change from ACW ironclads, and looks like it could take some time,so I have called a halt on those for the moment. |

I have this one in my pile somewhere. Will be watching with interest. One question, are you planning on using any of the laser cut parts for the details?

Fun ship to build till you get to all the tiny life boats I still hadn't finished all my life boats yet.
Will be watching this build for sure. |

Just put the superstructure sides on yesterday. When assembling the hull framework, it's probably better to assemble the top triangular tube in two pieces, put the frames in which will hold it in position first then slide the tube through, that way it is supported while the adhesive dries.
I have a handy radiator just the right size beside my work table, work wonders drying the adhesive quickly. |

Bow and stern decks now in place, care need to be taken to ensure the aft wall part 42 faces aft, and at the bow, part 51 which holds the top of part of the fore superstructure face to part 49 should be doubled to give it strength.

John, I am impressed! It's a huge model for 1:400.
