Petrojarl Cidade de Rio das Ostras
Right, just starting a new build.
This model appeals to me as somewhat different from the norm, with lots of intricate detail. The ship itself is a, " Floating production, Storage and Offloading Vessel", moored off the southern coast of Brazil, and operated by a joint Norwegian/Brazilian company. At 197m overall length, and a scale of 1:400, the finished model should be about 490mm long. |

I have this one and will watch your build with interest. One question: Are you going to be using the laser cut parts available for it?

I'm not using the laser cut set - will try to make it all from the basic kit, though that looks like some very delicate cutting......
Have you completed your's?? |

Hello, I hadn't noticed this log yet.
I've been working on and off this model for the past year or so. So, I'll be keeping and eye out here :D Make sure you measure op the hull against your deck very well, in my kit I had to shorten it (the hull, not the deck) by about 3mm.

Thanks for the heads up on that, I will check it out. I haven't actually started the model yet - other stuff intervening - but with the current snowy weather here, I'm banged up indoors, so a good time to get going on it.
