Hi kentyler

In order to complete these surface I used set of engraven deck - universal A4 size (210mm X 297mm). With this worksheet I cut proper shape of the deck (bow, torpedo deck and boats deck) and glued it on background deck. Next step was painting this deck using Pactra A37.

I used also other specials like laser cut details, the barrels (this set covers 4x140mm, 4x
25mm) and belts connecting strips of linoleum, railing and ladders (photoetched parts)

All these elements have made the model more attractive in my opinion.

Hello
As I promised I present You one of several gluing processes.
It will be 140 mm gun turrets.

At the beginning I formed the cowls and put on it canvas cover. I made it from tea bags.

The next steps was made main gun with equipment. On that parts I added a lot of small details, and used metal barrel.

All pieces now are ready for paint.

I also made rolled canvas cover for back wall.

At the end, on the both sides of cowls were added, ladders.

Hi
In this post I present You process of gluing torpedo tubes. As we know Kitakami was equipped with 10 quadruple torpedo tubes, so there were a lot of work.

At the beginning I glued all separate tubes. For better forming I lubricated inner surface BCG glue. When all tubes were ready I added some stripes on that.
The next step was added some small details on upper surface of all tubes.
Base on existing documents like Gakken no.32 where some drawings of that tubes were, I did all small pieces, and glued to tubes. The rear cover also has been done.
When everything was done, glued it together and painted.

The next I did basis for every ten torpedo tubes sets, and also did all covers for that. I decided to detailed covers doing imitations of rivets.

I grouped all tubes in ten sets each of four tubes, glued basics and covers.

Now when all ten sets are ready, I made some extras for each of them.
In according to Gakken no.32 I did frames and canvas that covers back walls.
Frames was made from thiny wire, and canvas from tea bags and painted. The torpedoes also were made with wood.
