Kooks good, Mike. Always wise to get the low details on first.

Fred, thanks for the comment…the idea of putting many of the bits on first seems counterintuitive to me but hey…my mind has mislead me before!!

Another update…
Have been doing more construction on deck pieces before mounting to the hull.
First, the rangefinder and then the torpedo launcher.

A brief update.
Added some of the deck pieces already shown and the funnel to the hull.
Continuing to work on other deck stuff.

More progress although I'm a slow one.

Worked on the mount for the 40 mm pom pom gun and have it fixed in place.

Also added the port side stanchions near the main superstructure.

Actually, I thought you're making very good progress. I've been working on my ship for over a month now and only have a couple of baggies of greeble parts done. Haven't even started on the hull!
Compliments on your build. Looks very clean.

Vince and Mike,

Thanks for the comments and encouragement.

Some of the slowness is because there are times when I have to figure out how everything is supposed to go together...and that can take me a while. This paper modeling is almost puzzle-like when you've only done some relatively simple projects.

However I am enjoying it.

Another step forward.

Completed the base for the radar antenna and added to the hull.

Also finished the 102 mm primary armament that I had started way back when but finished only recently. Added to the hull and this ship has some life .

Next on the agenda is the 20 mm guns...4 in all and pretty tiny

Wow, did I say the 20mm gins were tiny...the k guns are practically microscopic!!

Four of each and finally in place.

Next will be the aft depth charges. Getting close to the masts and ship 's boats..

Depth charge racks were certainly a challenge but eventually got them taken care of.

Then moved on to the ships boats, davits etc.

Masting and life rafts remain.
