SMS Albatross, Bildrum, 1:250

Good evening paper-friends,

some weeks ago I finished my cardmodel of the imperial german minecruiser, SMS Albatross, scale 1:250. One photo I've shown in my introduction.
Since then I was making water for this model, because I wanted to show the ship goin' full speed in a diorama.
I finished the "water" today, here is the result. The only one what's missing now is the crew, that's the next turn.

best regards
Klueni

That is stunning! I can't say it enough! Both the ship and the water look so realistic.
Did you take any photos of the process you used to make them?

Ron

This is a superb model. The complex rigging and deck detail are very impressive, and teh diorama is beautifully done.

Moin friends,

thank You very much for Your kind comments. The way I made the water is shown at my german forum kartonist. (i don't know why, but I cannot post a link....)
It based on a construction-method of the british top-shipmodeler Jim Baumann.

best regards

Klueni

Hello Thomas,
Great work with the water/diaorama. She looks like she is crusing at full speed.
Very nice images.

Hi Thomas,

I followed your thread on the german forum: It's an interesting way of doing the water effects, with great results.
It looks fantastic.

Best regards
Dieter

Hei friends,

@eatcrow2, Mike, Dumitu & Dieter:

Thanks a lot for Your kind words, I'm very pleased, that this kind of water has so well received here!
Now I'll build the crew of SMS Albatross, combat-ready at their stations and mine-laying. If it's ready, I'll show some new photos

have a nice sunday
Klueni
