never served on carriers am ex rnzaf but lived in singapore in sixties and seventies and used to wg off school to look round carrier groups as they came in.
one ship i would love to get hold of a model for was french carrier jeanne d,arc

Herky....

Bet you'll be first in line when the HMV USS Enterprise kit is finally released....

I've built her in small scales before....In plastic only, never in paper. Gotta gain a lot more experience with paper before trying something that big and complicated.

Nice to know that "The Big E" will return as CVN-80 in a few years. Along with the USS John F. Kennedy CVN-79 ....
