There's a tradition here that the Vikings made it to Minnesota but most scientists dismiss the evidence.

Ah yes, the Kensington Runestone. While it would be great evidence for Viking contact with the mainland US, there seems to be sparse evidence of other artifacts. Then again, it could very well have been a simple expedition with no permanent settlement. Either way, I'd LOVE to believe that the Vikings made it to North America proper.

Sail's hoisted, ship's done. Probably gonna design a base or somethig for this and then get it out whenever. Have some personal crap to deal with so sorry about whatever delay that may cause.

Looking good! Your subjects for models are certainly wide ranging. BTW, I have a few model builds going on right now, one of which is your recently released "Amerika Bomber". As you hinted at, it does need a few tweaks, but I think it'll be nice when done. I'm building it in 1/144 scale - still pretty big by my standards.

This looks great Jim. I'll be keeping an eye out for the download.

If possible, can you make .jpg files available, as for me it will just have to have a gilded head and tail, with brightly coloured shields. Sod the historical accuracy, I like Hollywood style. I'd need to re-scale it to a smaller size too.

I'm no expert on this, but the mast seems to me to be a little bit too far aft ??
It would be a real pig to steer with it there. Especially as these ships didn't have true rudders, just a steering oar.

Johnny.

I have the svg files; I could link the dropbox file to you if you can work with .svg's. Also, I placed the mast amidships; certainly that's where it was? Or was it a bit further forward?
